Drew Bennett

  • Drew Bennett (American, b. 1981) is a painter who explores the relationship between the human body and nature through the romantic treatment of landscape in which human subjects are dwarfed by the grandeur of nature. Bennett’s paintings are loosely autobiographical, inspired by the artist’s own experiences and the places he feels a strong connection to. However, he leaves a degree of ambiguity to his subjects to allow the viewer to connect and imbue their own meaning, perhaps seeing elements of their own lives in the work. Bennett aims to reframe nature’s sublime essence as an all-powerful and constant force of good in our collective existence. His paintings guide the viewer to a celebration of the human body in harmony with nature, restoring faith in the cycle of life.
